Create a Login.gov Account to Access My FAMLI+

We use Login.gov to protect your personal information and add an additional layer of security. Login.gov provides multi-factor authentication to the sign in process, which means using more than one method to verify that a user is who they claim to be.

This one-time process takes less than 10 minutes.

Do You Need to File a Claim For Someone Else?

You can file a claim for someone else if (1) you have a signed form from that person giving you permission to file their claim, (2) you are their parent, guardian, conservator, or otherwise have a legal right to make decisions for them, or (3) they are your family member, and they are medically incapacitated. Review the Designated Representative Overview  Opens in a new window to see if you qualify.

  • If you qualify as a Designated Representative: You will create a Login.gov account using your personal information.
  • If you are helping someone else file their own claim and do not qualify as their Designated Representative: The person you are trying to file a claim for needs to submit a claim using their own Login.gov account.
